Smithville Area Fire Protection District

The Smithville Area Fire Protection District releases its annual report for 2021. 

In 2021, Smithville Area Fire Protection District responded to 1,329 incidents. This is a decrease of 3% from 2020. The average response times to these incidents district-wide was 8 minutes and 42 seconds. Responses included 59 incidents involving fire, 944 medical or rescue incidents, 53 hazardous conditions incidents, 44 service calls, 168 good intent calls, 58 false alarms, and 2 weather related incidents.

The Smithville Area Fire Protection District has released an Annual Report which details our responses and activities in 2020. In 2020, the Fire District saw an increase of 16% in the total number of incidents from 2019. While most of the additional responses where to emergency medical incidents, total fire incidents were up as well. The total number of public education and public relations events are down from previous years due in large part to fewer public gatherings due to the pandemic.
